It is with much pleasure and gratitude that our Club wishes to thank the Gold Coast City Council's Division 13 Councillor Daphne McDonald for her assistance with a Council Grant given on the 4th November 2019 to our Club in order  to replace our heavy and aging (circa 20 years) Club rescue boat and wooden trailer.

This exercise was completed on the 1st March 2020 with a new Quintrex 3.0 meter skiff and a new lightweight aluminum trailer and small winch for ease of use by our members.

Our old boat and trailer was donated, free of cost,  to a "sister" Club that had expressed a wish for it.

Finally, it is not unreasonable to clearly state that our Club would not have come  to be some 20 odd years ago had it not been without the assistance of Councilor Daphne McDonald.
